The Cavs can't sit around and wait for him to bust out his cape though. They're downright embarrassing to watch when that happens.

Aside from the size difference, anyone else see a little bit of Parker in Rondo, right down to the fact that he's still growing during a playoff run (a la Parker in '03 -- I think)?

Umm, when did Brian Scalabrine start dressing like a country date rapist during games he's scratched? That, sir, is not business casual.

I can see a little of that. Especially the way he's dribbled his way into a leaner in the lane a couple of this times this game.

    They're about the same size. Parker's 6-2, 180. Rondo's 6-1, 170.

What in God's name is Ray Allen's deal. I'm sorry, I don't care if this team does get by Cleveland ... if Ray Allen doesn't wake up, they won't beat Detroit.

Seriously. He goes from being one of the best 3-point shooters in the league to not being able to hit the broadside of a barn.

Oh, and the Cavs just made this real interesting.

Yeah he's slowly developed that, though it's obviously not as consistent as Parker's yet. But I think they have similar games -- score first PGs who can penetrate and push the tempo, decent jumper from inside 3-point range (though again Parker is better than Rondo at that right now). I'm actually surprised to see those sizes. When I wrote that I thought Rondo was the taller of the two. I thought he was like 6-3 and Parker like 6-0. Guess I was way off. Rondo just seems "longer."

TheSportsPredictor just screamed in his home ... "How is that a blocking foul."

Ummm ... has anyone else ever seen two times play this scared and tight over the last two minutes of a crucial Game 5?? Jesus Christ ... someone step up and stop shitting your pants.

LeBron is a frightening guy to foul when he's shooting, even if it's blatantly intentional, because of how strong he is he still gets off a decent shot while on the way down.

Unrelated note, what's the deal with him always doing that little step in thing on every FT when he's lined up? Does he do it distract the shooter? Is the rule that it's not a violation if you pull it back before they let go of the ball? Not sure why but it bothers me. He does it every time.

God, Ray Allen cannot handle the ball.

I'm not sure what the concrete rule on that is, I think if you're in the lane when the shooter releases it's a violation. But who knows, officials let Shaq shoot illegal free throws for just about every game of his career until this postseason.

Rondo is longer. Probably better at D at this point than Parker was, too. May already be close to Parker defensively.

Parker had no jump shot for the longest time. He's not perfect now, but he's gotten pretty dang dangerous. I say that because Rondo has plenty of time to develop from the perimeter, though I don't know if he'll ever be a three-point threat, much like Parker.
