He's so good that I'm sure that it's even possible, but Ginobili has to be one of the most underrated players the league has ever seen. If he was on the Bucks (and wanted to) he could average 25 a night. He just happened to be placed on a team that was dying for a player to play the role he does and only calls on him to take over at certain points. If you read Simmons this week when he broke down the MVP race he had some unbelievable stats about Ginobili in crunch time:

82games.com unveiled "Clutch Stats" (fourth quarter or OT, five minutes or less, five-point margin or less) and "Super-Clutch Stats" (fourth quarter or OT, two minutes or less, three-point margin or less). In "Clutch" situations, the Argentinian (I love calling him that) averaged nearly a point a minute and shot 57 percent from the field, 44 percent from 3 and 93 percent from the foul line. In "Super-Clutch" situations, Manu was the third-best scorer (behind LeBron and Kobe) and shot a jaw-dropping 62 percent from the field.

Eh, despite the score I was not too impressed with the C's. They can play far better. Horford really took it inside and dominated Perkins. Atlanta got too many offensive boards. Still, the sheer skillset of The Big Three plus the dynamic PG combo and the consistantly impressive Powe is way too much for the Hawks to handle. I loved Garnett screaming in Powe's face for about 5 minutes after Leon's really nice looking basket...unreal intensity.

Impossible to imagine. If I hadn't seen it, I wouldn't have believed it.

  4. They'll be talking about it for years.

I saw him do the same thing to Cherokee Parks when the big fella made a left-handed layup during a 1997 exhibition game in Aberdeen, S.D., so K.G.'s screaming fits of intensity have lost a bit of their wow factors. But nice to see it's still playing big out east.

And for all of you who enjoyed the first playoff games of each series, you only have to wait four days for Game 2!

Fourteen days to complete one round of playoffs? What a joke.

Not the Celtics. Because of KG's unmatched intensity, Boston will need only a week to sweep a young and talented Hawks squad, thus cementing the fact that this year's Celtics team is the greatest NBA team of our generation. It really is breathtaking to watch. Unreal. [/bostonbred]

Yeah, rooting for the Celtics the last 20 years has been a real joy.
My dad loved the Celtics and I got into them because of that. I remember going to the Kingdome to see the Celtics play the Sonics. Those were some huge crowds and they were tons of fun.
I'm more of a Larry Bird fan than anything, but I do enjoy the Celtics.

Oh, and I don't see the need to pick one sports city and love all of their teams. I hate all the other teams in New York, I just like the Yankees.

And no one hates on me for being a Yankees and a Seahawks fan, and the 'Hawks have had a lot more success than the Celtics in recent years.

And with that, you can resume your thoroughly entertaining page-long posts about Kobe Bryant. ::)

Just tryin to balance out your Boston lovefests. ;)

  11. I thought Garnett might actually hurt Powe there.
Flip Saunders continues to show unprecedented reservoirs of Fail.
