Super veteran presence. Same goes for fellow Mississippian Lindsey Hunter.
Announcers pointed out he was only Piston of note who didn't have a ring.

Good luck in your quest to at least make the Finals, Antonio.
Fine for me if Celts lose.

I think the Celtics can. The Big Three are going through the playoffs for the first time. They're still learning what it takes to win together, so I think there's a learning curve in play. They might not win the series, but I do think they will win one in Detroit.

such a terrible, boring excuse for a sport.

And that's a quality post that really contributes to the conversation....

Stuckey has filled in well for Billups when Chauncey feels hampered by the injury. Going back to Detroit, I can see a split, yet, knowing how the Celtics play on the road, the Pistons will be up two games.

Yeah Boobie, he's back and that's the best all three of them have played at once by FAR this entire playoff -- and they lost -- at home -- and trailed virtually the entire game.
THAT my friend was the example of that stupid switch being flipped.
No reason to think that Boston can't grab one in Detroit though, as the Pistons usually demand more of themselves AWAY from home for some reason. But this is the postseason. That was another win that reminded me of the Pistons circa three or four years ago. Now the home court's gone for the C's, they can get it back, but they've got to absolutely fly out of the gate Saturday and hang on for dear life -- or they're in some deep stuff.

I just can't see how this series doesn't go 7 games.

    Very easily, Boobie.

Allen shows game Two was just a tease, Detroit clamps down the defense at home and takes a 3-1 lead into game Five, winning the series in six.

Yes, anything can happen in a long series. But the fact the Celtics don't have a single "I will lead you to a playoff series win, for I have a history of such heroics!!!' guy, including the coach, has to give Celtics fans pause. They must take Game Three. If they don't, they will trail 3-1 after Game Four, and it will be over.

I could see this thing going seven. And even if it doesn't, I think they'll all be right down to the wire where both teams have a legit shot to win it with under three to go. These guys are very evenly matched and it's basically going to come down to little intangibles. Who shows up and who disappears.
Boston has GOT to win G3 ... it's literally a must win and it's the biggest game it will play all year (to this point). There's obvious reasons why they need to win it and not go down 2-1 with G4 in Detroit ... but even if this thing is 2-2 going back to Boston ... this isn't Cleveland, it's not Atlanta -- this is Detroit, they can win a 2-2 Game 5 in Beantown.
BIG time game on Saturday. We'll find out what they've really got then.

I don't see Game 3 being a must-win for the Celtics. Just win one in Detroit and they're fine.

    Well, it's a must-win until Game 4 arrives.

There you go, I like that better. I think they need to treat it like one they, they've got to prove they can not only win on the road in the postseason, but in a pretty tough building as well.
