    You know, the C's are a gutty fucking bunch, everything the Lakers are not.

    Barbosa went down in the 3rd with what might be a bad knee injury. It's the back end to a back-to-back, on the road after a 3-OT drainer, and they're 2:46 away from beating the Bobcats. Granted, it's a horrid Bobcats team, but this should've been the game Boston sort of ran out of breath.

    And then the Bobcats end on a 7-0 run over the final 2:08 to win by 3 and snap a 7-game losing streak.

    C's 7-game win streak ends.

    Funny thing: C's up by 4 and on a possession with a chance to extend the lead Heinsohn says "Don't settle for a jump shot" -- and within seconds Terry hoists a 3 that barely touches rim. Bobcats come down and Henderson hits a 3 to cut it to 1. C's miss again and then Sessions hits a jumper for the lead.

    Somehow, San Antonio won by 14 in Chicago without Duncan, Parker, Ginobili, and Jackson and was -23 on the glass.

    They lost to the Bobcats. The Bobcats!

    This is true. In their defense, the Bobcats had a 20-point lead on the Lakers. Oh, wait.

    So, last night ...

    Boy that Howard trade is going to go down as the mega deal that went thud for everyone.

    If Steve Nash thinks you're dogging it, you're probably a dog;

    If I were the Lakers I'd let him walk; he's too old to learn something different. He ran off Van Gundy, he's alienated Bryant and now Nash. History, follow the history. He'd be perfect for the Nets, all flash, no substance. It would be like Kenny Anderson and DC all over again.

    LeBron is playing at an absurdly efficient level. The Blazers were up 57-43 with 4:40 to go in the first half and LeBron just took over to get the Heat back to 59-58 at half. 18 points on 6-8 shooting, 4 rebounds, and 6 assists in another ho-hum half. I've watched a few of their games during this run he's on, and I think he's taken 1 shot during that time that I thought was a bad shot. He's raised his game to a whole new level and it's fun to watch.

    He's so much better than any other individual player on the planet that it's almost hard to comprehend the gulf between him and everyone else.

    This record is strange because it seems like something that would have been done by Jordan or Wilt or Bird or a handful of other great shooters.

    It's now 6 straight games of 30+ while shooting 60% or better.

    And it's not like he's barely shooting better than 60%. He's shooting over 70% during the streak. He's now leading the Heat in 3-point % as well.

    Is LeBron doing the 3 point contest?

    The bloom is off the Warriors' great start/season. Watched them lose to the Rockets last night from courtside even while Harden shot something like 6-20. What is disheartening is seeing a team just not try on D, fail to do simple things like rebound balls, chase loose balls. Rockets are legitimate team, Asik is a very good C, Parsons had a wonderful game, can hit a standstill 3 and of course Harden is a very good offensive player.

    Warriors though played great team D before this 5 game losing streak, forcing teams to shoot from the perimeter. Now, they are giving uncontested dunks in the half court.
