    And they've done the same thing in this game. They were down by 22 with about 3 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter, and they tied it with more than 10 minutes to go in the 4th quarter. Incredible.

    The Heat are so good they only have to try for half the game

    Heard, but didn't see, what happened in the Cleveland game. Just crazy stuff. I'm not the biggest Heat or LeBron fan out there, but even I have to give them props for the run they've been on.

  5. Time to dump Royce White. He's back with the Rockets' D-League affiliate after leaving team five days ago after a "miscommunication."

    I'd be more suprised if they lost 5 games between now through the end of the playoffs than if won every game through the regular season and went undefeated in the playoffs. (barring injury to James and Wade)
    Is it fo-fo-fo-fo?

    Gerald Green hits one for all those kids yelled at by their coaches for taking STUPID FUCKING SHOTS! Up four (after once leading by 28) with 40 seconds left, Indiana's D.J. Augustin steals the ball, and passes to Green, standing in the corner. Green does exactly what his nickname of "Chuck 'Em" tells you to expect, which is the opposite of anything that's smart basketball - he tosses up a 3 with 36 seconds left instead of trying to kill the clock. Lucky for him he made it. Jump to 3:45 to get the Pacers' TV announcer yelling "WHAT IS HE DOING????"

    And now, a musical interlude from DJ Rony Seikaly:

    Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.

    Last night's Clips-Mavs game nicely highlighted some truisms:

    1. Dirk is back; his step back J is unstoppable, it left Jordan/Griffin/Butler all flummoxed;

    2. Paul is one tough dude going down the lane and finishing; he is sooo good, he's got that great feel for when to be a distributor and when to score, truly the best PG (better than Westbrook, Rose, Parker); and

    3. Griffin needs to improve his scoring moves and efficiency otherwise he's going to be the next Shawn Kemp flameout; where's his go to move? When he posts up, he's got no move. Why the Mavs or anyone even double team him is ridiculous because it just opens up an open 3 when no help is needed.

    You could do worse than being the next Shawn Kemp, in his Sonic days.

    Well even Kemp developed a mid-range J, which extended his career and actually helped make him All-NBA (which is really why Malone ended up scoring as much as he did and where Garnett scores all his points now).
