Part of the problem is you have a lot of people who were No. 1 options on their old times suddenly trying to figure out what to do when Kobe starts dribbling. Nash hasn't had to worry that much about opening himself up in the halfcourt, because he was controlling the action. Howard isn't going to get the touches he got in Orlando now that there's more than one inside option.

It's way too early to panic or declare this experiment failed. It's going to take time for all these vets to mesh, and to figure out who's option 1, 2, 3 and 4. Once they figure that out, they'll be all right.

I've seen enough of Metta forever, I think. He bogs shit down way too much. Yes, he has some virtues, but not many these days. I will contribute $50 to see him paid to go away at this point. Jamison can have his minutes, or share them with Hill, or fucking Adam Morrison or Cody Karl for all I care.

Yeah it's time to say thanks for your efforts, Ron, and send him off with a commemorative DVD of Game 7 of the 2010 Finals.

That Lakers game last night, Damian Lilliard looked really good for Portland. Of course, this being Portland, he'll come down with career-threatening plantar fasciitis in two years.

Spurs-Thunder was a great one tonight. Tony Parker with a clutch 3 then a game-winning 22-footer at the buzzer.

What was Westbrook doing on that last play?

My thoughts exactly. He looked yet again clueless on D. Westbrook could be just as tough a defender as Jordan, he's that quick, that physically dominant. Yet he's mentally clueless, going for steals.

I find it hard to believe that the Thunder could win a title with Westbrook at PG (well Durant is that good.) He's either electric in the lane, in transition or he's Tom Tolbert/Paul Pressey playing "Point Forward" dribbling to the top of the key and making a simple pass. There's no sense that he knows where the guys like the ball and delivering it to them there or even making a simple drive and kick to an open shooter. Either Durant is blind to Westbrook's failure to be a complimentary player or he's the nicest guy in the world who doesn't show it. Durant has got to remember the Olympics playing with true PGs like Paul and Williams who could get Durant 40 and wonder "what the hell?"

    James Harden tonight:

45 points on 14-of-19 shooting, and 15-of-17 from the line. He also had seven rebounds.

    Fear the Beard, folks.

    Good lord.

Perhaps OKC should've considered, you know .....starting him, sometime. It seems to suit him.

Knicks rolled against the Heat, maybe they can hang in the East.

The Lakers are not very good.
