So we may get another Anthony Bennett?

Yup. The upside is probably Wiggins.

I saw an analysis a few months ago that suggested having the top pick this year is a lot like having the 8th pick in a decent year. Seems about right.

Or if you’re an old fart like me, LaRue Martin

Scottie couldn't hit 3s. He's more like a poor man's Kawhi. Like the one you'd get at Goldblatt's. It was damn close to the one you'd get from Sears, but just a little worse.

The Blazers have a remarkable draft history.

There were three hall of famers in that draft. LaRue Martin was not one of them.

Portland: LaRue Martin over Bob McAdoo (or Julius Erving), Sam Bowie over Michael Jordan, Greg Odom over Kevin Durant.

The Sixers just looked utterly lost down the stretch.

Embiid is not at all what I expected him to be at this stage of his career. I don't know how much of that is coaching but I suspect we'll find out next season. There's no way Brett Brown keeps that job.

    And while I'm here...

For the life of me, I do not understand how a team as talented as Denver loses game two by 19 and game three by 37 to the Utah Jazz. The Nuggets were my dark horse to win this and they look horrible.

Depth is less useful in the playoffs than the regular season - playoffs are often about the strength of your starting five, and especially your best player. Better to have LeBron and the Scrubs, instead of being the Atlanta Hawks and having a B- at each position.

While I agree with that, I probably would've argued going into this series that Denver had the better starting five.
