From what I saw during the playoffs, McMillan was cursed by Oladipo looking like just another guy, not an All-NBA player and no Sabonis. Bummer because Brogdon looked like just a stud but had no real help. The Heat's weave with Dragic/Robinson/Herro/Butler just killed the Pacers. Spoelstra may never win another title but he's a damn fine coach.

    Hmm.

I have never looked at the Pacers and thought Nate McMillan was the problem there.

Has anyone written a story about the Riley Effect on Spoelstra?

This is his 12th year as Heat coach which is kind of shocking.

I'd lump him in with Brett Brown a bit - Talented roster, but the pieces don't fit incredibly well, plus you had injury issues with Oladipo and others. I don't think he was the problem there, but I don't think he had the answers either. Short of getting an elite coach in there, I'm not sure if someone *does* have the answers. I do think that McMillan might be the closest to the concept of an "average" coach as you can get - Lifetime record of 661-588, .529 winning percentage, only one really bad year but his high is only 54 wins.

Bucks boycotting Game 5 of the Magic series.

That's kind of a cynical approach.

So, logistically, what happens here? Does this go down as a forfeit? Is the game postponed?

Yeah, I'll retract. It's kind of an obnoxious question.

I was too late on Bucks to win in 7 games at +3000.

I'll be cynical for a second.

If they were playing Boston or Toronto, they'd be playing. They're up 3-1 on a team that just wants to go back to their families. So... they're going to keep their NBA colleagues "in the bubble" for four more days.

OK, so what's the end game for the Bucks? Do they just play the game tomorrow? Do they have to forfeit if the Magic were willing to play?
Also, lol at the Detroit Lions canceling practice to protest the Blake killing. That's probably the easiest form of protest in history ... not practice in August.
