I'm with you. I'd be willing to trade anyone except Giannis to acquire a higher ceiling player - like a guy who can be a legit #2 or #3 option - even if it means taking on more or longer contracts. If Giannis tells you he's not interested in re-signing, that's fine. Make him play out his contract, and at the end of it, he might need or want a sign and trade anyway to get to his next team, and you pick up a couple of assets.

Its easy to say "let's see Giannis walk" but when he does and you've got nothing to show for it? Look at the Cavs now (they did get a Champ of course) but after LeBron left all they had were overpriced Tristan Thompson and KLove and sullen Kyrie.

Warriors can offer Wiggins and non-Curry/Klay/Dray to match salaries, then add No. 2 and next year's TWolves lightly protected No. 1. That's the best out there and not bad if you're only going to get one more year out of Giannis.

The killer for the Bucks is they went Bledsoe instead of Brogdon and looking backwards now Brogdon is a much better player, scorer and creator than Bledsoe, and that is exactly what was lacking right now, scoring and creator. When I watched the Pacers, Brogdon was the only guy who could consistently create for them (against Heat too!) Middleton is a good player but the key shots and points I saw him accumulate were iso jumpers and turnarounds, rarely was it going to the basket (where he could then dish to someone else). Bledsoe going 2-12 was a killer last night.

If I'm Milwaukee's front office and I have serious doubts about my ability to resign Giannis I'm certainly looking at my options but there's no way in hell I'm taking that Warriors option. Wiggins is mediocre and on a max deal, the non-Big Three players are just roster-fillers, and this is an absolutely garbage draft. I'd view that number two pick like an 8 or 9 in most years. And the Wolves pick is protected.

I'd certainly be taking calls. If I had to guess at a destination it would be Toronto. But that Warriors option? Total non-starter. I'll take one more year of Giannis the chance to convince him to stay instead of tying myself to Wiggins and a bad draft pick.

That's all garbage except the T Wolves draft pick.

Damn Kawhi is sooooo good. Can LeBron or AD make life tough for him? Kawhi gets to his spots and seems so comfortable with his shot.

At this point, the most compelling Finals would be Lakers v. Heat? Clips v. Heat? Not Boston, those guys are an ugly offense ready to implode. They are undisciplined on O whenever the going gets tough.

Once again, I've got to believe the coverup is worse than the crime.

When confronted, he denied it, thereby forcing the NBA to do more, which made this inevitable. Will he get the Clevinger treatment by his teammates?
