The NBA should have gone straight to the playoffs when it reached the bubble, cut down the series lengths of the first two rounds to 3 and 5, and got this thing over with back in late August/early September.

    It's hopelessly protracted.

I like the NBA. But the first, oh, 3 weeks in the bubble were a lot more interesting than the last month.

This isn't MLB. The NBA played most of its season. It did the money grab for the RSNs to get to 70 regular-season games. Then a full playoffs. They put all the money into the bubble. Might as well go all the way.

Do you feel the same way with the NHL and its approach? Both did the right thing -- and pulled it off. No asterisks for either champion. MLB is a much different story.

Thought the playoffs were terrific. No complaints. Great closeout win by the Lakers tonight.

I’m already stoked for the Lakers v Warriors WCF, next June, July, August or whenever.

I'm not at all sold on the Warriors going forward. I think the Nuggets could very well be back.

If the Blazers are healthy and the Clippers pull their heads out it should be a great fight.

I’m definitely not right about not personally caring about the NHL I guess.

    Also: You should ignore me.

People can bag on the NBA ratings - playing against football and baseball playoffs probably did more damage than political messaging (sorry Clay) - that said - the league did a hell of lot better job containing COVID-19 than any other sports outfit going, and for that they should be commended.

How was the NBA better than the NHL?
