Mendes and does this mean that the Cavs won or lost?
I still don't know who won Game 1, from these posts it sounds like the Spurs.
I used to love watching the NBA, now I don't even care.

    Spurs are indeed up 2-0.

Eva Green, recent Bond girl and she who made "The Dreamers".

As for the Finals: I was shocked Stern played the Dick Bavetta card tonight. Thought for sure he would save that one for when the Cavaliers needed a Game Three win at home to get the ratings up.

I actually Tivo'ed the sopranos finale to go to a sports bar to watch this game. I really got into several series in these playoffs -- most notably the Cavs' last two series, the first time I've been remotely interested in the NBA in years -- and I find these finals games excrutiatingly boring. The Cavs don't belong on the same playoff floor with the spurs, as much as it pains me to say it. The Spurs won't even be playing well and you still have an overwhelming feeling of impending doom if you're pulling for the Cavs like I am. The only way they even win a game -- and let's not even talk about them winning the series -- is if LeBron goes all Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals on SA and just starts repeatedly going to the rim and dunking on folks. and that's probably not going to happen.

I would love for the Cavs to win, but there is no way in hell they are beating the Spurs. Which is the reason I was rooting for the Pistons, even though I hate them, to beat the Cavs.
Detroit offered a much better matchup against San Antonio then the Cleveland does. Detroit could have thrown a lot of fouls at Duncan and still had decent guys on the floor.

You're probably right, but again, the past 2 years have shown that the Finals are all about adjustments. I'm gonna guess Brown will change up to a zone so that Parker and Ginobili won't get in the lane. And who knows, maybe Illguaskas will finally have at least a decent game. I trully believe this game would've been 10x more competitive if LeBron didn't sit those 9 minutes out with those two fould early in the 1st.

3 straight games in Cleveland guys. Remember, Cleveland has always shown that they much much better at home. They Cavs are definitely capable of getting 2 out of 3.

And then they're going to win games 6 and 7 in SA? Yea, didn't think so.

Well it's possible. Hell, yesterday's game could've easily been a 3 point game down the strech and SA was leading by 27 points at the beginning of the 4th.

Chuck, I love your optimism for the Cavs.

I've yet to give up on this series... yet. Are the Spurs a helluva team? You bet your ass... but playing in Cleveland in front of these fans does something to this Cavs team (more importantly, the guys around LeBron). Hopefully the Cavs will have the support of the hard-core fans in the press box... hehe.

Will playing at home be enough for the Cavs to run off three consecutive? Probably not, but that's why sports is so intriguing, strange things happen and if it effects guys positively like Pavlovic, Z, Gooden and Marshall... I like the Cavs chances of at least making it a compelling game.
