Good question. The one that jumps out at me is USC/Texas football as the last truly good championship game, but I could be forgetting something.

Of a chance at Finals dignity with real teammates, absolutely.

Of a shady foul call down the stretch?

    Let's find out:

"Incidental contact. It didn't affect my shot," James said from the podium just a few minutes later before beating a hasty retreat from the arena, making the long walk from the interview area down to his silver sedan in the players' parking lot with an NBA Entertainment camera crew following him the entire way.

Has has never been a whiner about calls. He's always said he makes no excuses. Remember what happened in game 2 against Detroit? So no, I'm not buying it.

Bron was fouled. Call the foul.

And yes, he was also robbed by Sideshow Bob.

LeBron was blatantly shoved in the back, and I'm with Chris Sheridan in being amazed he wouldn't get that call in his home building.

One the other hand, when your team spends the entire second half bricking one jump shot after another, missing layups, committing bonehead fouls (hi, Drew Gooden) or making panic plays in crunch time (hello, Varejao), you're not exactly putting yourself in position to be getting any help from the officials.

Absolutely a winnable game for the Cavaliers tonight, and they pissed down their leg.

When they showed the replay, I could see why LeBron was shocked about not hearing a whistle. That shove in the back is a big reason I can't stand watching the Spurs sometimes. It's like watching the Patriots mug Colts wide receivers. Sometimes, officials just don't have an interest in making calls against certain teams. At least that's how it seems.

Actually, we need a 49-46 game in the NBA Finals. Show the world what it really means to "play the right way."

Seriously? Maybe 1.5 seconds elapsed between the time that AV decided not to pass to Lebron and his shot. AV was under no pressure and drove to the hoop. There is not a single NBA coach who would have called a timeout there.

And while it is closer, if a foul was called there (and it should have been), I doubt that it would have been considered in the act of shooting.

They need to dust off Rocco Scotti for game 4.

Brown must've graduated from the Herm Edwards school of clock mismanagement.
