I really like the way Duncan and Parker played last night they were on fire, and Parker was leaving the CAVS in the dust ever-time he would go to the basket.

This will be the ugliest Finals sweep ever.

Why for god's sake is game 2 not till Sunday?
It's still in San Antonio right?
Are they determined to make this year's post season the longest ever?
The NBA should really cut 15 games from it's schedule.
82 games is too many when every round in the playoffs is seven games.

You might get your wish if the ratings keep dropping. This may be the lowest-rated NBA Finals ever despite ESPN's lame attempts to say "Care about this! Watch this!! It's better than summer reruns!!!".

The ones who care are watching, just like the NHL, MLB and other sports. Maybe it's about time the NBA went to cable. Heck, pretty much the entire pre-World Series postseason is on cable in baseball. It might be the wave of the future.

  7. Game 1 ratings: 6.3 rating and 11 share. The previous low was a 6.4/11 in 2003.
Last year’s Game 1 between Miami and Dallas earned a 7.8 rating and 14 share

I don't think it will be a sweep.

I wonder if the Cavs are gonna start Gibson over Pavlovic(or maybe even Hughes because of that injury to his foot)

I will sit Hughes and start Gibson if I was Coach Brown.

Brown has said repeatedly that he is not starting Hughes over Gibson for Game 2, and he's been asked about it several times. His rationale: "We've gotten this far with this lineup, so why change now?"

Um, because your starting point guard has a serious foot injury, can't take any more cortisone or Novocain injections, and is getting torched by Tony Parker every time he gets the ball? Or maybe because he loves shooting jump shots despite the fact he's only shooting 35 percent in the postseason? Or maybe because your team's point differential was about 12 worse with Hughes on the floor in Game 1 as opposed to when he sat?

Hughes said he wants to help his team, and until somebody tells him he's hurting the team, he'll keep playing. OK, then...

LARRY, YOU ARE HURTING THE TEAM. FOR THE SAKE OF KEEPING THIS SERIES COMPETITIVE, SIT DOWN.

How boring are these finals? This is the first post during Game 2.

I missed the first half, watching The Sopranos finale. As soon as I clicked to see what the score was once it wrapped up, I realized I would be better served to watch "Flavor of Love: Charm School" tonight.
