    Non-basketball NBA news:

Richard Jefferson dumps his girl a couple of days before a planned $2 million wedding:

What's tough about the West after the Lakers, Blazers, Mavs, Nugs, Spurs, Jazz? The last two spots are wide open. Houston, Phoenix and New Orleans are all down this year.

Clippers aren't even remotely close to those teams. Suns still have Nash and Amare, Hornets still have paul and there nucleus, Houston won 53 games last year. Of course they won't repeat that but they will finish far ahead of the 19 win Clippers. I'll bet you the Thunder finish with more wins than the Clippers.

The Clippers also weren't healthy at all last year. The Rockets have no Yao, Amare is not on the Suns anymore. Look, I'm not guaranteeing anything, but they're a better team than they were last year and the West is pretty diluted after the top six. I could give a fuck what happens to them, I just think they're better.

I guess you don't watch other basketball except for your Cavs.

So if Amare isn't on the Suns who does he play for?

Nevermind, I'm an idiot. There was a trade on draft day that must not have gone through to the Warriors. I could have sworn ESPN reported it as though it happened.

Anyone who thinks the Clips, especially with Iverson, are in the same class with Phoenix, Houston and NO are kidding themselves. Iverson can single-handedly kill a team. Ask Detroit. When he leaves, his former teams get better and his current club stands still, and even falls back some. In no way does Iverson coming to the Clips help at all.

Yeah, Philly sure did he suck with Iverson there. I remember the long string of championships they won once they traded him.

Crazy when you think that, as Bill Simmons pointed out on Twitter, that Walker made more than $100 million during his playing career. I mean, I'm sure that more than half went to tax in one way or another, but still.
