You're forgetting one other constant, brah'.

  2. As the old saying goes, it's not a series until someone wins on the road.
Impressive work by the Bucks in MKE.

For as good as the Bobcats defense was supposed to be, how did they keep giving up open threes with Howard not even on the floor? Larry Brown is still coasting off that Detroit title. I'm fairly convinced.

The one he happened to win when the Lakers imploded, when Kobe basically decided to tank the series to stick a finger in Shaq's eye.

This is random, but I started looking up all-time NBA stats after hearing Barkley mention Dominique Wilkins as scoring the 10th most points in NBA history.

Why don't people mention Wilt Chamberlain's career rebounding record among the list of "most unbreakable" records in sports? Shaq and KG, the two active players with the most career rebounds, have a COMBINED 1,185 rebounds more than Wilt. At this point in his career, Dwight Howard still averages 10 boards less than Wilt did for his entire career.

I remember that series as Kobe being double-teamed the whole time (and still shooting), and Shaq being strangely earthbound despite single coverage. Gary Payton had never bothered to learn the Triangle, Karl Malone got hurt, and they were finished.

The Basketball Gods rightfully frowned upon Malone, the biggest critic of Magic's first aborted comeback, and Payton, a man who spent his entire career running his mouth as if he had actually won something, gravy-training a late-career title.

Sort of like what Shaq is trying to do with LeBron James this year.

Except for the fact that, well, yeah, Shaq was the main piece of four previous NBA Titles with two different franchises.......

And took his expansion first team to the Finals.

Weird how that happens, isn't it?

And went to Cleveland as part of a trade, not as a FA signing.

And he didn't leave the only team he'd been with his entire career to do it.

Yeah, guys . . . Shaq didn't want to go to Cleveland at all, and he's been a major contributor to that team.

Not sure where you guys read that I said Shaq wasn't a major part of four titles before this, but the fact remains he's looking for one last ring, courtesy of King James. He isn't very effective anymore except as a big body, but at least he realizes that.

That's not like a Malone or a Payton angering the Basketball Gods, which is why Cleveland will win the title this year (thus making cwilson3's regular little jabs at other teams even more insufferable).
