    To JC, ucam, cwilson,

The ever-changing dynamic means more-recent players get 3-pt shots added to their games plus, more-recent players have evolved into more fluid specimens. Watch old footage of teams from 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s to get a feel of how cro-magnon the past players seemed when compared to todays.
Does that mean Cousey or Oscar Robertson or Mikan shouldn't be in the Hall? No way.

Howard and Ray Allen are similar in their longevity, but they play two entirely different positions.
Their stats are similar, with regard to percentages, but Ray averages 6 more points for his career.
Juwan averaged about 1.1 less assists per game, and I think Ray could have given out more if he were wanting to make the case for being a "complete" guard and worthy of the Hall.
Neither of them got two steals a game, but again, that's an area Ray needed to be better at over his career in order to list himself as an all-time greatest guard.
I meant they are similar with their paths/journeys and longevity and, too, many of their accomplishments on the court.
The Hall should be reserved for the very, very best and most dominant that ever played the game.
Ray has a case, for sure, but he's also, at the end of the day, top third of all players who ever were in the League.
In my opinion (I can have one of those, can't I?) he isn't Hall worthy.
To call my opinion, or anyone's on here (ridiculous) is, well, ridiculous.

If he gets in, you guys can throw a party.

    Sincerely,

    Blitz

Credit card error wouldn't let me put my bet on the Cavs/Suns parlay. For once, annoying shit worked in my favor.

Rondo just donkey punched the Cavs. 27 points, 18 boards and 13 dimes.

If you don't understand that a 6'5" shooting guard and a 6'10" PF having similar shooting percentages isn't similar you don't have a clue about the game.

Argue all day that Ray Allen isn't HOF worthy but comparing him to Juwan Howard is absurd.

Comparable in longevity, first and foremost.
I gave other comparisons, too, but I pointed to length of career first.
I don't give a hoot or a holler about whoever calls someone else here absurd.
Words like that are counterproductive here, except in extreme instances.
    It's a board of opinion.
I know tons about the game, but don't know shit about 99 percent of you. And often don't care to.

And while we're at it, is Robert Horry an HoFer?
    I don't think he is.

Agree on Horry. Not even close.

Hoping the 'ol college try is good enough to get it done tonight for San Antone.
Phoenix has put together a solid 3- or 4-minute run in every game so far, to pull away.
Spurs tied with 'em early in Game 4, FWIW, 2 to 2.

No on Horry. Role player extraordinaire. Hall of Famer? Hell no.

And I cannot believe we're putting Ray Allen and Juwan Howard in the same sentence. Allen has a great shot at the Hall. Howard does not. Allen probably will go down as the best shooter to ever grace the NBA hardwood.

Is the end for this Spurs core?

Will this be the year that the Suns both get past the Spurs (done) and get to the Finals? Or will they be thwarted yet again in the conference finals, this time by the Lakers?
