Yes, all those guys are still playing great basketball late in their careers, but they've adjusted their games to stay effective (which, really, is amazing in itself).

LeBron is an athletic freak now, but that won't last forever. Do you still see him chasing down speedy point guards on fast breaks to block their layups when he's 35?

  2. JC,

Are you even watching this series? Garnett's dominating, I mean DOMINATING, Jamison. Other than Rondo, he's the biggest reason the Celtics are in position to win the series. Garnett is fine. He's finally healthy and he's starting to look like he did two years ago.

Yes, actually, I am, because a guys knees are shot, doesn't mean he can't adjust and still be a very good player.

IMO he can't keep this up over an extended period of time. The last year and and half have shown the wear and tear on Garnett. My comment wasn't meant as a shot as much as the reality of playing that many hard minutes.

  4. His knees aren't shot, JC.....

A guy who's knees are shot doesn't get the lift on his jumper like Garnett's been getting in this series. More probable is that his knee is better and that he's finally healthy. Now that may be because he and the rest of his team mailed in half the year, but he's healthy and its showing.

Garnett's resurgence is really key to the Celtics. Other than LeBron sucking it up, that should be the other intriguing storyline.

Makes me wonder how they would have done had KG been healthy last year. I do think the Celtics stand a great chance at getting past Orlando, assuming they dismiss the Cavs.

In the last 43 games of the regular season, Garnett scored 20 for more points in only five games.

In the the last 43 games of the regular season, Garnett grabbed 10 or more rebounds six times.

    You probably saw a flash.

The matchups for the Celts are much more unfavorable against the Magic than against the Cavs. Howard and Nelson are significant upgrades on the O'Neal-Mo Williams duo. Nothing against Shaq. He plays a pretty solid game for a Sub-Zero refrigerator. Also Chateau Petrius and Lewis KILL them.

Garnett's jumper has been deadly this series, but his knees are still killing him on defense. Jamison has blown by him for some highlight reel dunks and his help defense hasn't been great.
The key to this series has been the emergence of Rondo and the turd LeBron has laid.

Explain Jermaine O'neal? He average 608 minutes per season the first four years which is about half of what he could have played if he went to school four years and played 35 games per season? He is a shell of himself and his first four years in the NBA were basically a long redshirt.

Maybe he just stinks and stopped caring about playing basketball after he made enough money.

Did anyone watch Sportscenter with the clips of Cleveland sports radio callers? I know sports radio callers are 95% + morons, but I totally want to see LeBron leave the Cavs win or lose just to stick it to those morons. The people were so cringe inducing I had to change the channel.

It's impossible for Clevelanders to criticize someone without calling for them to get fired, traded or released.
