There is a difference, though. Yeah, Jordan had to wait 6 years, but he NEVER lost a series that he was supposed to win. His early career playoff losses were to Boston and Detroit teams that were the best teams in the league and the clear favorites, and Jordan himself played great in those series. But he never lost one where he had the higher seed and favored team. Lebron has now gacked two years in a row with teams that had the league's best record.

And players like Jordan, Magic and Bird always seemed to be at their best in the most important games. But Lebron just gave the worst performance of his entire career at home with the series tied 2-2. That Game 5 complete no show in the most important game of the season may be the most shocking non-performance by a superstar I've ever seen.

Agree with most of what you said but Shaq hasn't been a threat for three-four years and Jamison played like dogshit.

I agree about Shaq, but I do think he presents a nice fourth or fifth option. It wasn't his fault Mike Brown misused him and J.J. Hickson.

As far as Jamison, yeah he didn't shoot well from the outside at all, but 15 points/7 rebounds on 46 percent shooting isn't shabby. Yes, they needed more, but they needed more from EVERYONE. LeBron more so than everyone else.

I'm not a big Calipari fan. His record with the Nets was not overwhelming. He does far better in college, where he can stack the deck in his favor talent-wise.

Firing a coach less than 24 hours after the season is either (1) pre-meditated or (2) a knee jerk reaction. I won't say he won't or shouldn't be fired, but at least go through the evaluation process.

I imagine the 'WIRED' segments have to be fairly generic and cannot include any specific plays or coverage assignments because of the strategic advantage the opponent could have. It probably could only be based on motivational lines to capture urgency.

I am still waiting to see the 'WIRED' on Mike Brown with 2 minutes left in the game when he was in the huddle.

"Fellas! No fouling! NONE! Mr. Gilbert told me if this thing goes past eleven and we miss the 12:20 flight back to Cleveland, I'm on the hook for a block of rooms at the Logan Sheraton. NO FOULS!"

Cleveland F-list "celebrities" get together to give LeBron a final push out the door:

This made me laugh in a sad way, like the "We are Notre Dame" thing.

"LeBron . . . we NEED you! Please stay!!!"

First of all, the celebrity list isn't even a pimple on the rear end of what New York could put together. Second, I'm not sure a young player who is already frustrated is in the mood to carry his home state's many athletics disappointments on his shoulders.

That is one of the saddest, most pathetic things I have ever seen. Though it is nice to see Carl Monday taking a break from busting public library porn-whackers to stop by, and to get an answer to the question, "Whatever happened to Otto Orf?"

This "LeBron, we NEED you" line of thinking is the sports version of the Fat Guy trying to hang on to the "Out of His League" girlfriend. Sorry Cleveland... it's not you, it's me.

Boy, I've read my share of revisionist history, but this one takes the cake.
