No doubt, Boston is in a serious groove as well but what gives me some hesitation are some of the playoff stinkers they have thrown down as well.

Cleveland may have been the #1 seed but they never struck me as a great team in the final weeks. They are what the Phoenix Suns were 15 years ago. Strong enough to win 60. Not strong enough to win three playoff series.

It's an old school Western Conference circa Nuggets-Lakers 1985 game tonight in LA. And Lakers blitzing them. Kobe with 21 in the third, 40 in the game. Odom was great in the first half, Gasol is Gasol. Have read a lot online the last few days people talking themselves into giving the Suns a really good shot but I still don't see it. Tonight's game was just like the first two of the season in LA. They can beat the Suns in a high-scoring game and a low-scoring one.

I do remember the Lakers blowing out the Rockets in game 1 in 1986 and then getting drilled four straight so anything's possible, but I see this one ending in five for the Lakers.

Odom is to the Lakers as Ray Allen is to the Celts in this respect. He is their key indicator. When Odom plays well, the Lakers are going to win. Odom's first quarter allowed me to go to bed early last night.

If the Suns continue to defend the way they did last night, this'll be over quick. Hopefully, they adjust. I'm not going to panic yet.

I'm such a sucker for the draft lottery. Final 3 are NJ, Washington and Philly in some order.

How many bodies is the Nets owner going to make disappear because of the draft lotto?

Is Wall the clear call at No. 1?
Last time the Wiz had No. 1, there was no clear call and they ended up with Kwame Brown.

Man, I remember being so hyped when the Rockets traded three first round draft picks for Eddie Griffin that year. Nevermind that the guy would become most famous for wrecking his car while masturbating. And then, a few years later, would die after getting hit by a train.
