Like what? There aren't many ways for a slow point guard to do that these days. I remember when guys like Mark Jackson used make shrewd use of perimeter handchecking to handle quicker point guards, but the rule changes a few years back pretty much removed that tool from the arsenal.

To be honest, I'm not sure how much Fisher would even guard Rondo. Putting Kobe on Rondo and Fisher on Allen might make more sense. And I suspect we'd see Shannon Brown used more in the Finals because of the Rondo problem.

Suns have even less chance than do the Orlando Magic.

The Lakers are playing the Suns' game -- and Phoenix can't keep up. Scored 128 the other night. On pace for 130 tonight. The Lakers are just too big for the Suns, too many weapons. The Lakers would need to take a mental holiday to lose this series. And a Lakers-Celtics Finals? I'll definitely take that (grew up a huge Lakers fan, still am), and I think the Lakers will be up big time for that after they crapped the bed and thought they would walk to the title in 2008.

Hell, you might be right. I just know I like what Fisher brings to this team, especially in the playoffs.

    Keep disrespecting Artest's shooting, Phoenix.

Phoenix is playing well enough to at least rule out a sweep.
I expect them to do like OKC, and win a few at home.

You have to double somebody on the Lakers. Makes perfect sense that teams are willing to leave Artest. That's definitely the guy you leave.

Seriously Sonner, why WOULD you respect Artest as a shooter?

Another poor fourth quarter. My guess -- Suns win Game 3, and comfortably. Lakers take Game 4 on a last-second shot then finish the job at home.

Derek Fisher will go down as one of the best role players in the history of pro basketball.
What a career after being recruited to play for Wimp Sanderson at Arkansas-Little Rock.
Fish has been stellar for a long, long time.

I wouldn't. I just found it funny as hell that he was nailing wide-open shot after wide-open shot. And he's actually making good decisions with the basketball. For now.

Steve Nash and Amare Stoudemire may well be the reincarnation of John Stockton and Karl Malone. But Utah never won a championship, either. (Although they reached the Finals twice.)
