The Lakers really came out loaded for bear, huh? I'm sorry, but the burden of proof that LA is anywhere as good as the Celtics is on them. Maybe they can do it, but I'm not betting them.

Fisher was still moving (or not set yet) when Allen left the floor. That is a block right?

I'm assuming the Celtics started the game on a little spurt? Boston led 12-10 when I turned it on, and while I'm only sporadically watching, the Lakers have looked pretty good and lead now 48-37 late in the second.

Celtics came out going crazy, Bill Simmons was getting "chills" sitting there live blogging for ESPN, said the crowd was the MVP, Pierce had the look, and they took a commanding seven-point lead in the first four minutes. Alas, the game is 48 minutes.

Celtics led 12-5. Lakers got it up to 37-20. Lakers are shooting better (48-40 percent), have 11 assists vs. 4 turnovers, outrebounding Boston (27-21), making free throws (13-of-15 vs. 6-of-12) and getting loose balls.

Still, as a longtime Lakers fan, this game is far from over. Too many bad things have happened in that town over the decades.

cwilson is right, newbie. I'm doing my best to ignore most of the LeBron talk, unless if it's newsworthy to check it out. As Bobby Knight said, "...just sit back and relax."

But, Wojo's column wasn't directed towards LeBron per se. It was more about Dan Gilbert's penchant to Jerry Jonesing himself and meddling. No matter how much Ferry did, Gilbert trumped him to appease LeBron and his minions. Ferry threw up his hands and said "you want to run the team? Here's the remote control, Dan. Have fun."

The Clippers talk got a laugh out of me. There's no way in hell Sterling is going to give anyone 0.001% interest in the Clippers.

    That. will. never. happen.

It's been more than a decade since I wanted the ball in anyone else (as in, "Please Kobe, pass the damn ball!") but Kobe's hands in the last minutes of a Laker playoff game.

But he was horrendous tonight in the clutch. Fisher, should this hold, bailed them out. And find me a single Laker fan who, during the regular season, would have believed that could happen.

Paul Pierce just might be right. This series might not go back to L.A.

Oh, for Chrissakes, how many timeouts, replay reviews and general standing-around are we gonna have here? The last 99 seconds took 16 minutes (seriously), and it wasn't even really in doubt.

I've always loved D-Fish. He's always been my favorite Laker of this era. I know he's easy to knock during the regular season and everyone was stroking Rondo's nuts, but I just love that Fish won this game. I know he's not mentally tough enough for Gee, but I'll ride with him any time.

    BTW, great game Ray Allen.

If every Lakers loss/Bad game by Kobe Bryant brings out the "He's not JORDAN!!!!!" idiocy, then can I say about "The Greatest Shooter in NBA History":

Reggie Miller/Michael Jordan/etc. never went 0-13 in a playoff game.

As for Fisher: re-signing him was essential to bringing the team back. A classic situation of Kobe Bryant needing a running mate who could tell the others "Don't listen when Kobe calls you an a-hole . . . listen to WHY he's calling you an a-hole."
