If they have to respect his jumper off the dribble more, then he will be almost unstoppable.

Anyone with that shooting form cannot shoot consistantly over a period of time.

Rondo is shooting 45 percent from the field in the Finals, 23 percent from the line.

While you're right that the Lakers are disrespecting his jumper, for good reason, his FT shooting is embarrassing.

No guard shoot be the bad at shooting period, let alone free throw shooting.
As for the physical play that turns you off, did you watch the NBA in the 80s?

He's 62 percent for his career, so unless he has become Steve Sax at the line, it should correct itself.

Who cares if it corrects itself? That's not the point. There's a far better chance he blows the Celtics' chances at a title by missing critical free throws in Game 7 than by missing a few jumpers. Rondo is at his best when he's driving to the hoop. And typically, that involves drawing fouls and shooting FTs.

Hence...his free-throw shooting is far more important than his FG percentage, which isn't that bad to begin with.

Fine fine effort by Rasheed "Fucking Worthless" Wallace in a potentially championship-clinching game last night.

17 Minutes, 0-7 FG, 0-6 3PFG, 0-0 FT, ZERO POINTS, 3 RB, 4 PF. Ball don't lie. Let's hear some more about his "veteran presence."

No technical fouls of course since he's on the brink of suspension, but watch out Thursday night if the Celtics are down double-digits in the second half, courtside chairs could end up in the upper deck.

Rasheed has hit some big shots at big times during the series, and his defense against Gasol in the two straight wins were invaluable. He had a bad game, and you can't just point to him for a bad game in Game 6. Nobody played well, with MAYBE the exception of KG, who I thought played OK.

Still, if I were the Celtics, I'd rather get blown out in Game 6 than lose a nailbiter. It leaves a bad taste in your mouth, which doesn't bode well for the Lakers.

I have no doubt the Lakers win Game 7.

It all points to the Lakers, spnited, for sure...

Kobe in Game 7. Why would you bet against him in that spot?
    No Perkins.
Wallace can only play in 4.5-second spurts.
    Lakers are the home team.

Then again, I'm not banking on anything.

Besides Allen and Garnett, the Celtics really don't have any great shooters on their team for Game 7. It's rare to see Rondo hit a shot if he isn't in the paint. Pierce continues to take terrible shots that he believes he can make, Perkins's knee is messed up (although he was never really known as a great shooter), and the bench is on/off.

Although I wouldn't put any money on it, I'd take the Lakers in a somewhat close game (let's say a 5-8 point difference).

Until it's over, I'm expecting Perkins to inspire the Celtics to victory in a Willis reed moment.

But don't listen to me. I wasn't even going to watch game Six, so convinced I was that the Lakers were finished.

Yah yah, Rasheed's usual bullshit the last decade: Mail in 10 games in a row until fans start to scream, actually play good for one or two games to get people off your ass, then go back to coasting.
