Wade and LeBron were both unconcious today. Great ball so far today. Still two games to go.

Shaw and Hickson both got 17 minutes today. Shaq was 3-of-7 from the field. He seems to be missing a lot of easy looks right now.

Ignoring the on the court action, did you just see Najera take a swipe at the Spurs fan that had a camera hanging down over the entryway?

    Typical of George Karl's teams.

I thought Najera was going to rip Ginobli's head off on that play.

The whole team is. It's a reflection of their owner, who prides himself on bitching and moaning about David Stern and the refs rather than holding himself and his employees accountable for their own mistakes and shortcomings.

Man, there's been too many good games today. This is killing my productivity.

Agree completely. That's why I don't buy how Karl's absence is responsible for their lethargic play. They're just a weak basketball team, albeit a very talented one.

The Mavs will never be a championship team with him leading the way. Jump-shooting 7-footers are never a good thing. Each season is proving more and more that that 2006 Finals appearance was nothing more than a fluke.

I agree with that premise. But I think the problem begins with Mark Cuban. Rather than demand that Nowitski develop a tougher, more physical game (or hire coaches who will develop that) and that his team play tough physically, he whines about the refs and David Stern and how both are out to get him.

The 2006 finals was typical of this. Yes, there were some bad calls in Games 3-5. But Cuban chose to again play the victim rather than focus on what his team could control (the Mavs were up 2-0 in the series and had a 13-point lead midway through the 4th quarter of Game 3). His team took the cue from him and played the rest of the series psyched-out, as if they were waiting for the other shoe to drop. When that series ended, rather than work on becoming a mentally and physically tougher team, they were content to blame the refs. And they haven't gotten a sniff of the Finals since.
