Isn't the common knock on McGrady that he never got out of the first round?

True... I always laugh when I watch the end of the Niners-Dolphins Super Bowl and as a dejected Marino is walking off, the announcer says, "Well, you have to figure this will be the first of many, many Super Bowl appearances for that guy..."

The Rockets probably would have been that team if Sampson hadn't gotten injured, but that's the way sports works.

It's just too perfect to actually happen.

I'd enjoy all the anti-LeBron people stumbing around for an excuse why one title isn't enough moreso, I think.

Correct. McGrady wasn't on the Raptor team that reached the second round. He'd signed with Orlando the prior summer.

That and how, "They got all the calls! So it doesn't count."

Nah, you just enjoy making fun of them once you think its safe.

James is making the leap from Karl Malone to Dirk Nowitzki this post season. And, yes, he is going to have start collecting these trophies before he starts being mentioned with Bird, Magic and Kobe.

Well, sparky, wouldn't it make sense that I could only enjoy watching the anti-LeBron haters stumble for excuses after LeBron has won something? Wouldn't really make sense to do that when he loses, would it?

It seems perfectly reasonable to me that LeBron has failed to deliver in the past, but his game has now matured to the point that he will not do so this year. Perfectly reasonable. Everyone is so married to a narrative, on both sides, that they end up not being able to see the forest for the trees.

Do you really think Dirk > Malone because he won a title?

LeBron can win the next 15 titles and I'll still wonder WTF was up with quitting in his last series with Cleveland.

At the beginning of the series, I stated that I was pulling for the Thunder and Durant. I love watching Durant play. And I'd still like to see the Thunder at least make it a 7 game series.

However, we've all heard the "LEBRON CAN'T WIN IT HE'S GOT NO KILLER INSTINCT BLAH BLAH BLAH" thing for long enough. At this point, I'd be interested to hear something else. Like the crickets from the anti-LeBron crowd. I'm not exactly a LeBron fan, but I don't get my rocks off watching him lose, either.
