I mean, I think there was a pretty strong case that this was true, before Game 6 against Boston.

Agreed. That's when he started to change the narrative. People just have a hard time...not embracing it...but accepting it maybe.

Either way, I have no real rooting interest since my Lakers threw up on themselves. So....sure, I'd still like to see the Thunder win, but not because it'd give me a chance to pile on to LeBron. However, I'd still enjoy watching LeBron win one for the reasons already stated. Also because he's playing his ass off and looks like he's starting to actually DESERVE it.

I do, and it has nothing to do with winning a ring.

Then what does it have to do with? Take away the ring and it appears to me that the Mailman comes out ahead. He certainly trumps Dirk statistically and defensively.

Dirk's jump shot is pretty much unstoppable. He's the guy I want when the game is on the line.

You know, I may have to rethink this one. Dirk's skillset is almost unguardable, but I may not be giving Malone enough credit.

Would his jumpshot still be unstoppable if Lebron and the Heat had a beat them last year?

His jumpshot does not make him better than Malone. Malone was a better overall scorer, a far better rebounder and defender, and also got more steals and assists. In other words, trumps him in pretty much every single statistical category. And I'm also confident his teams had a higher overall W-L percentage. Without bonus points for the ring, the Mailman wins that debate.

    Nope.

If James was better than Dirk last year in that series, then the Heat would have won.

James is the best player in this series and his team is winning. That's how the NBA usually works.

So where do you rank Dan Issel?

Oh lord, here we go. OK, I'll bite, what does Issel have to do with this?

    Great numbers. Top 10 scorer.

Are Gervin and English as good as Havlicek?
