First time since Staples opened in 1999. Lakers and Clippers were both in the playoffs in 2006 but the Kings didn't.

Their best line-up this year is Chalmers-James-Wade-Bosh-Anthony. They've played 533 mins together and are +108 in that span.

Their worst line-up is Cole-Wade-Battier-Haslem-Bosh. They've played 141 min together and are -32 in that span.

Coincidentally, those are the two top line-ups they used in the regular season, minutes-wise.

    With Chalmers-James-Battier-Haslem and Anthony, they're +24 and with Cole-Miller-James-Battier-Haslem, they're +39.

So they've been pretty good at times without Bosh and Wade in the line-up, which should give you some insight (not a ton, but some) to how much more important LeBron is to the Heat than Wade or Bosh.

Yes, it's only Game 1, but this West semi could be over by Saturday night. OKC is out for blood tonight. Up 30-plus midway through the third.

The weird thing is that the Lakers' bigs actually played well - Bynum has 20/12 through three quarters and Gasol has 8/7 with five offensive rebounds. And they are still getting rolled. It might just be primarily that the Lakers are coming off a tough Game 7 while the Thunder have been resting, but LA looks every bit their age.

Also, the Thunder bench is outscoring the Lakers 33-8 after that Harden dunk.

Yup. A debacle from every corner for the purple and gold. Didn't expect much in this first game after having to go seven against the Nuggets (unnecessarily) and traveling Sunday. This same thing happens in Game 2 ... yeah, wave the white flag.

What?!?! You mean Jeremy Lin didn't win the MVP?!?!?! Man, turned on the TV in February and he was really hot stuff, going to save the NBA in Hong Kong and everywhere else. What the heck happened?

That happened in the 1990s, too, with NBC. Some series would go early Saturday/late Sunday for NBC. There are fewer games OTA now and more on cable.

Can someone please get James Harden a razor?

Twitter is freaking out. Did Ebanks try to hurt someone, or just act like a jerk?

Also, let's not hand the Celtics the keys to the conference finals just yet. Tied with Philly in a series where first to 70 wins.

First game, 1982 Eastern Conference finals Celtics 121-76ers 81
    First game, 1985 Finals Celtics 148-Lakers 114
Lost both series. A first game rout means the loser's down 0-1 and nothing more. Don't straight-line extrapolate, Lakers/Thunder followers.
