One word to describe the Heat tonight? Puke.

And Wade played like Mike Miller is fucking his mother.

Wade gave up. He flat out gave up. The guys who are trying suck, and the guys who have talent played like four year olds.

I am looking forward to bringing this team up when people talk about the biggest flops of all time.

They were shit tonight but is the series over? This is like the trade LeBron or Wade or Bosh talk last season when they were around .500 in Dec. I won't break the digging up old posts rule but I remember reading they weren't going to make the playoffs. They sucked so bad that they lost Game 6 in the Finals

Way back in the beginning of the season I suggested putting money down on the Lakers to start the season 0-3. I was off by a last-minute basket.

So I'll end the season with another prediction: Lakers get swept by OKC. The Laker mentality, such as it is, particularly as voiced repeatedly by Kobe, is that they are all about winning rings. They know good and well there are no rings in their future this year, so I just don't see them giving two shits about getting on another plane and flying to OKC for an inevitable loss. Particularly if they're convinced that by losing, they can get rid of a coach they clearly hate.

I must have read it wrong, because I was under the impression Wade was NOT suspended for tonight's game. Yet, I see no evidence he played tonight.

Unless Wade stops bitching at his coach, Chalmers pouting at the refs and James being more concerned with keeping their elbows high than driving to the bucket, this series is over. That said, if they were smart, all they have to do is win game four and the series is back in their favor. Lose game four, and they are done.

If they lose this series, they are continuing on a path that will link them to Malone's Jazz or Iverson's Sixers in NBA history. And neither of them won eight titles.

ESPN/ABC execs just cracked Mercury Morris' cat with an empty champagne bottle, and don't know why.

    That would be unwatchable.

If the Spurs win it this year, an arguement could be made that Duncan's Spurs are the third greatest dynasty in NBA history behind Russell's Celtics and Jordan's Bulls.

I would love to see them in the Finals.

I think the '80s Lakers would still top them, Devil, but it WOULD be an argument.

A very valid statement, even though a lot of people don't even realize it. One of the most underrated dynasties (or at least long-term runs of success) in sports history, and I don't think I'm being too hyperbolic when I say that.

The Spurs are definitely in the discussion and 13 or 12 years between titles is pretty darn amazing, if they did it this year.

But if you wanted to say who would beat who, West's Lakers, Magic's Lakers and Birds Celtics would all probably beat the Spurs. Kobe's Lakers are in the discussion as well, but everyone (ESPN) wants to pay attention to the Heat and overlook what the Spurs are doing.

I agree those teams would likely be favored against the Spurs, but that certainly doesn't take away from what they've done. In the era of free agency and me-first mentalities, their ability to keep the main trio together and their way of playing the game is refreshingly different.
