I forgot Tony Battie was still in the league.

Me too, Battie's has to be about the quietest 15 year NBA career ever. BTW, as long as we're on this draft longevity theme, I'll give props to 94 with Jason Kidd, Grant Hill and Juwann Howard still taking home player salaries 18 years later.

Does Juwann have money problems? I guess the next best job pays a lot less, but he's lingered as a 10th-12th man for a long time given what he was paid during his prime.

So if your only exposure to the NBA is ESPN bloviators then Spurs - Pacers will suck.

Speaking of people hanging on, there was an Antoine Walker sighting in the D-League in 2010-11. Not sure if he played there again this season.

I'm stunned, given all his injury issues, that Hill is still playing.

I played against Kidd in high school, and I just love it when they talk about him like he's 50. :D

I'm rooting for Oklahoma City and whoever is playing Miami.

I get more pleasure in watching Miami lose than I could ever get out of watching any team win this season.

Yeah, it seems like Grant Hill should be like 50 years old. He's had quite the career considering how many injuries he's had.

Miami is the only team that would make me pull for Kobe and the Lakers.

Some people just want to keep playing. It's hard enough, say, watching my older relatives trying to figure out what the hell to do with themselves at 65-70 after years of working that pays less than playing in the NBA. I can't imagine what it must be like at 30-40 to no longer be able to do what you prepped your whole life to do. What are you going to do with yourself the rest of your life?

Agreed, and I have hated the Lakers since birth.

Makes sense to me. Howard's salary this year was $1,352,181, for that he's played a total of 190 minutes. Might as well keep taking over a mil per year to watch front row NBA games instead of paying to hack at golf balls or whatever-the-fuck he'll be doing in retirement.

I'm certainly rooting for the Heat to lose but as a lifelong Celtics fan there's no way I could ever root for the Lakers. I feel sorry for Spoelstra, a good coach who has to put up with a diva like Wade.
