If that's basketball, I'm Mitt Romney.

That's like Bynum's greeting to Barea last year. Real tough hitting someone who's not looking/expecting it. Look out, "he's a TOUGH guy." Sickening.

At least in Hockey its send the goon out but they drop gloves and have a chance to defend themselves. I hate cheap shots. Just gutless.

Twitter suggestion that as punishment the Heat should have to play Pittman 48 minutes.

Haslem's a real tough guy too, hitting a defenseless guy going up for a shot. Basketball is almost as gutless as baseball players.

Not excusing the elbow, but Stephenson was going for a rebound. He should expect contact. It was a cheap shot, but IMO nowhere near the forceful blow that Haslem delivered.

    Makes sense.

Frisco is full of multi-billion dollar corporations that can afford luxury boxes and premium seat licenses, which you can charge a whole lot more for when the arena is in the city and not across the bay. And that's where the real money is, not in the general seating.

Webster, this was much more dangerous than fouls on shots.

On this elbow you have a lot of mass and motion and thus energy meeting at that elbow and that throat.

On the shots, the defender many times is stationary so his energy is not as great as a person coming across a lane with a high elbow into a person who is also moving.

Hard fouls are one thing, and should be penalized, but this is taking it to another level.

Lakers complained about Celtics' play in 1984 playoffs, the McHale clothesline on Rambis Exhibit A.

The Showtime Lakers . . . "just another team."

It is a comment on how the NBA has changed since the 1960s when I started watching that a playoff game with two or three admittedly dirty plays evokes so many comments here. Back then, that would've been considered an outbreak of sportsmanship.
