My son is wearing to school today his t-shirt that has a big Sixers logo on the front and "Erving 6" on the back, so, yes, he enjoyed watching that rout. And is enjoying trash-talking all the Bulls fans at his school.

By the way, how many times has Jrue Holliday been double-teamed at the NBA level before last night? Zero? How many times has Evan Turner looked like a No. 2 overall pick at the NBA level before last night? Zero?

As someone who always enjoys the Bulls' misfortunes, seeing them get punked by the 76ers just isn't fun. I wanted them to get their hopes up a bit and have fans start talking themselves into believing they have a chance to go deep before getting batted aside.

Once again, we see that one of the safest bets in sports is wagering that the Atlanta Hawks will fuck up a golden opportunity.

My contention is that they'll be batted around in a later round. If they get batted around in the first round like last night, that's just not as fun for me.

Are we talking about an in-game bet? I didn't think there was a casino/book in the world that did that.

Hawks have not been relevant since that unbelievable 4th Qtr. duel between 'Nique and Bird in 1986(?). (I know the Warriors have had a worse record since but at least they have '07 upset.)

Sad the Hawks cannot beat the Celtics without Rondo & Allen.

Yeah. In-game betting online. Bet $25 when they were something like 27 down. Then threw down $50 more a few minutes later. Ended up turning $75 into $40K.

You can bet on whether a team will gain a first down on the next play these days if you want. In-game betting is pretty popular online.

These bets were made by the superrich which make life better for everyone. /crossthread.

Seriously though, what's amazing to me is how much disposable income there is in our country (these wagers one example) yet we have a fiscal crisis?

Still a ballsy bet and the linemaker just lost his job in the Cayman Island.

    Solid crossthreading.

I doubt the oddsmaker got hurt on that. I'm sure there were quite a few degenerates who were confident enough that the Clippers weren't going to come back from 24 down in the fourth quarter to put down a few scheckels on the losing side.

The guy only won $41,000. Not bank-breaking money by any stretch.

M and Venetian both had in-game betting when I was in Vegas last football season.
