While we're at it, can we stop the "Mavericks gagged" talk right now.

The Mavs ran into a team they didn't match up well against. There was talk before the series started that they could get upset. They never led the series. A gag implies they were ahead and lost it. In this series, the Mavs never were. They didn't gag.

However, an 8 beating a 1 means it shouldn't have been close. And it wasn't, but the other way

the term "choke" still applies though right?
Dirk choked tonight. The rest of em choked in the third quarter. GS played Dirk well, but he was missing some easy shots, too.

Golden State played out of its mind AND the Mavs choked, when compared to that 67-win regular season.

Matchup problems or not -- the mavericks gagged.

it's the equivalent of driving the green on a par-4 and settling for a par... 67 wins and knocked out in first round...
    Nice drive, nice division title...

Nice of TNT to talk about how the Warriors have a couple of days to get ready for Houston or DENVER.

And who swept the Mavs while they were winning 67 games? How can a team choke or gag or whatever when it never leads?

The Mavs played badly. They lost the series against a team that had their number during the season, and had to get real hot down the stretch to make the playoffs.

    They didn't choke.

How can ESPNNews be saying the Avery Johnson interview is live when he's saying exactly what he said two minutes ago on TNT?

It's live to their viewers.....Just another example of the shabby side of the WWL.

Ummm, is this your first day here?

  12. Great comment by Kenny Smith on TNT. Avery Johnson didn't make any adjustments in the series. Golden State did the same thing every game.
