I'm going to respond to all this god damned bullshit being spouted by Golden State fanboylooserfuckheads like Rok and sportsbruh....

Dallas lost. NOT TO A BETTER TEAM but to a BETTER COACH.

The Mavericks had their chances to not play GS in the first round. What happened? Mark Cuban tried to stick it to Don Nelson and banish him in the first round because he thought Avery Johnson was the better coach. Not so much.

Don Nelson knows how to deconstruct the Mavs because HE BUILT THE FUCKING TEAM.

I REPEAT. GOLDEN STATE IS NOT THE BETTER FUCKING TEAM! DON NELSON IS THE BETTER FUCKING COACH!

Yes the Mavs are out of the playoffs now, but it has nothing to do with BD, SJ or JR. It has everything to do with DN outcoaching AJ.

And if you don't agree, well watch GS get swept or washed out of the playoffs by the Rockets in 4 or 5 games.

This was a horrible matchup for Dallas. I blame AJ and MC for not putting forth an effort to keep GS out of the playoffs when they had the chance. MC's pride was too much and it cost him and all Mavs fans this year.

That being said ... Look for a Bulls/Suns Finals and for Steve Nash to finally bring home a title to the Suns.

Here's a money quote from Jean-Jacques Taylor's DMN column ripping Nowitzki and the Mavs to shreds (emphasis mine):

Let's be clear: This is one of the most embarrassing losses NBA history. See, it's one thing to lose, but it's quite another when a club that wins 67 games – tied for sixth most in league history - fails to compete in an elimination game.

That article explains *imo* why Avery will be fired.

It's one thing to get beat when you're picked to win.

It's another completely different thing to be completely humiliated, and have your owner *(who happens to be worth billions) be completely humiliated as well.

Someone's head has to roll, for sure, IMO

The thing is, if I heard correctly, Cuban was endorsing Avery after the game. We'll see how long that lasts, if that was what he said.

All the hate on Nowitski, but Iverson goes 6 for 22 in the deciding game of the series. He can't even match his usual pedestrian 40% playoff shooting and comes up with a career low 36.8% playoff shooting. I guess it's not PC to criticize tat'd encrusted ball players who spend hours on their hair.

    Two points:

    1) Do you really think Yao Ming will be able to stay on the floor against the Warriors? He'll be passed out from exhaustion before the second quarter.

    2) The Rockets haven't advanced to the second round -- yet.

    The Mavs are TEAM A-ROD.

What the hell is the comparisons between the 1s that lost five-game series to 8s and the Mavs? What difference does it make. 1 losing to 8 is choke no matter how many games. Now if you want to throw in the word QUIT with the Mavs....you're getting somewhere.

I hear you, h.a. I think there's something to what you're saying, but I'm not in the mood to get into it right now. I just don't want to type that much at the moment.

Just so nobody reads me wrong, I LOVE Iverson, as I have said numerous times on this board. But as with McNabb, it's not the player that I have as many issues with as it is some of those who come up with, IMO, silly excuses to try to protect 'their guy.' Same thing with certain segments who will seek to 'protect' Dirk from his rightful criticism.
