I'm so glad that the MAVS are out from the playoffs now. Because now everyone should be able to see why Dirk should not be the MVP.

Again, MVP is based on regular season performance and nothing to do with the playoffs. That series doesn't change the fact that Dirk had a great regular season, one worthy of him being a serious MVP candidate.

Not saying Dirk should be MVP, but he should be in the top three or five for votes.

Are you kidding me? Nowitzki dosn't have shit on AI.
But of course, anyone with cornrows is like kryptonite to you so your opinion really dosn't matter.

I didn't even think he should've been in the MVP race. LBJ and Duncan are better MVP candidates.

  7. Interesting.

Let's look at Dirk's stats: 24.6 PPG, 8.9 RPG, 50.2 FG%, 90.4 FT%, 41.6 3% on a team with the best record in the NBA. And you don't think he should be in the race?

I think he or Nash or LeBron could win it, and I wouldn't have a problem with any of those choices. But to say he shouldn't be in the race is a bit goofy.

To be "in the race" to me means that you should get a lot of consideration for winning it. Like we should have debates about letting him get it. I'm not saying he shouldn't be in the top 5 or anything like that.

Lets not forget that the Warriors are a completely different team with a healthy Baron Davis in the lineup. They started the season 9-1, and went into a funk, even with Harrington and Jackson, when Davis was hurt. He comes back, they go 7-3 down the stretch to get into the playoffs and then continue their play into the playoffs.

  10. Gotcha.

Oh he's definitely an MVP candidate.

He would be, if the voters didn't take things like not being there for half the season into account.
