Someone said the Warriors' win had nothing to do with coaching because the Mavs are soft and play no defense.

Yup. Which is a symptom that can be attributed to coaching.

Nelson knew that Mavs team, the mtchup was all wrong. It was no choke; it was failing to ever rise to the occasion of a tough playoff matchup. Choking is what the Lakers did last year. Choking is what the Rockettttes might be about to do (RojkSki is avoiding that bandwagon, quite noticeably). Chokin is being in control, and letting it slip away . . .like Golden state in Game Five.

The Mavs blew it, absolutely. They blew the whole postseason, they blew a great shot at he title. But this particular matchup was always gonna be trouble. And that's why they were never in control in the series.

Lastly: hilarious that Rokski has such an issue with Kobe Bryant, but declares himself an Iverson guy.

No it points to a team that was poorly consructed -- by Nellie and his son nonetheless. It is a team built to win a lot of games, sell a lot of tickets and score a lot of points -- it isn't a team built to win a championship. There is no grit factor at all among any of the stars and once the playoffs begin and the level of intensity is amped up and the number of off nights dwindles to zero-- you need to have a few of your best players show the ability to man up.

And anyone who watched Avery Johnson --who made an NBA career out of not much more than basketball IQ, guts and grit and heart -- play knows this team is not a reflection of the coach, but rather the people responsible for putting it together.

I said in the offseason this team should have been the one to go get a Ben Wallace and find a guy like a Bruce Bowen --a bigger, defensive-minded guard -- because that's the kind of players it lacks.

Just add one year, peel off the Finals sticker, and you're all set!

Suggested subtitle: "Second Verse, FAR worse than the first" :D

Wait, you're blaming Nelson for the Mavericks' roster two years after he left?

RokSki, the Kobe stuff is amusing. It's a good give and take, because we know you're just stirring the pot. And Laker fans know that while this team is not that good, we've enjoyed plenty of glory in the not so far off past.

The Mavs never have. They have no glory to cling to, just a bad referee-aided choke job last year, and getting a bad matchup this year. And there's being funny, there's stirring it up for the sake of it, there's taunting, and there's rubbing it in needlessly. You're doing the latter, and it's simply not cool. It shows little respect for people who care about their teams.

Joy over the Warriors upset should not lead to unnecessary taunting of dallas. They lost, it happens.

This is why I asked who your team was. Because if you truly gave a shit about your teams, you wouldn't constantly look to rub it in when other people are disappointed and heartbroken. You would understand that your time will come too. But it won't because you're a bandwagon jumper.

It's easy to act like an asshole and just rub it in on dudes like Tommy Dreamer, who so desperately wanted the Mavs to win. He was bleeding with that team, as I bleed with my teams.

You bleed with no one; you're the dick on the hill shooting arrows at everyone, then ducking behind the women and children when people look to return fire.

Please refer to this diagram when posed the question: "Who's Mark Cuban's daddy?", or similar variations. "Who owns Mark Cuban?", "Who won the abbreviated 'Benefactor?'", and "What's the pecking order after the first round, 2007?" are all acceptable substitutes for the original query. ;)

This core of this team was put together by Nellie and his son, there is no way to deny that.
