Songbird, you're my guy and every thing. But if you think the only thing Kobe can do is score, you don't know the first thing about his game. Nash is a great passer. I'm sure the And 1 tour would let him make an appearance for one of their games. But there is no doubt, that Kobe is the best player on the planet(no doubt meaning, not even close). There just isn't. And he sure as hell isn't better than Wade or 'Bron. He's not even in the top 5.

    Stick to baseball Songbird :D

I'm excited. It's the second quarter and the Bulls are still winning. Maybe we will get a 5th game

I've watched Kobe since the beginning of his career, when he was airballing 17-footers in playoff games. He grew up, worked harder than anyone else a la His Airness, won titles because he had the best big man on the planet. He can rebound. He can pass. He can draw double-teams that open others up for scores. He plays defense. He does it all. Without a doubt one of the planet's best players.

Nash can't do half the stuff Kobe does. But I'd build my team around him.

I should add that I'd build a team around Chauncy, too.

You'd take a 33 year old Steve Nash over a 28 year old Kobe Bryant, a 25 year old Dwyane Wade, and a 22 year old LeBron James?

P.S. Keep in mind, when Nash had nothing around him, he was on the bench(I won't even mention the rule changes). You think it's just a coincidence that his play sky rocketed at the age of 30?

Notice how many titles Kobe won after Shaq left? Notice how players bolted LaLaLand i.e. Derek Fisher, Robert Horry, among others, when Kobe became the face of the organization because Kobe demanded to be the face of the organization?

And yes, I'd take 33-year-old Steve Nash. Heart and soul of the team. Players want to play with him.

Kobe didn't "demand" the face of the organization. Mr. Jerry Buss wanted Kobe to be the face of the organization. And don't blame this collapse on Shaq. None of those guys wanted to play with him either. He was just as, if not more, selfish than Kobe. Plus, no one would ever win a title with that team. No one. And if Nash was on the Lakers instead, they'd be one of the worst players in the league. All that passing means nothing when the players around you can't shoot. And when your defense is worse than Smush Parker's, you know you got problems.

Hey, people wanna' play with Derek Fisher, so lets make him face of the orginazation?

EDIT: And I'm sorry, but you're not an MVP and unanimous 1st team if the other coach says "GO AFTER NUMBER 13!"

If Nash was the point guard of the Lakers, and the Lakers didn't have Nash, the Lakers would be a better team.

If the Lakers didn't have Kobe. My bad.

First of all, I'm assuming you mean Kobe :D . Second of all, what!?!?! Again aaaaaaaaaaall that passing, means absolutely nothing if the others can't make their shots and wide open lay ups. Have you watched any Laker games this season?

EDIT: Also, with the addition, you would add yet another player who can't play defense.
