    His primary position is PF.

Preposterous? 2 NBA MVPs, 3 NBA Finals MVPs, 3 rings.

I guess that's if you consider Moses Malone a C or PF. Otherwise, Chuck's got a point. I'll take Duncan over Malone, Worthy or McHale any day.

No way in hell Duncan handles Malone. No way. And McHale? Well, those would've been some fun battles to watch. If you're going to classify Duncan as PF, Big Game James would've eaten Duncan alive. To keep up with Worthy, Duncan would've had to run for 48 minutes. Uh, no. But that's the thing: Duncan plays center. Compare him with centers.

Sorry, buckdub. No way was Bird a PF. If we're gonna get into that, you may as well list Elgin Baylor and Julius Erving.

Yeah, Parrish was center and McHale was pf.

First, we need to classify what Duncan is. I say center with flashes of PF, but center-based. Then we can make comparisons.

Elgin Baylor averaged 13.5 rebounds during his career; it doesn't make him a PF. Whenever I've thought of Bird, it's as a SF, because, as Chuck said, the team had Parish and McHale up front.

Yeah, I'm with that. Rebound totals don't automatically correlate to position.

I can't speak to Pettitt and I think Bird is a SF, but I'd put him right on par with the other two talent wise and he has the rings. No way is Garnett in the conversation. He's played in the same era with Duncan and hasn't had an ounce of the success Timmay has had.

Have we had a thread or a discussion on the best point guard left in the playoffs?
For example, Kidd vs. Nash? I don't want to DB if it's been fought over previously.
