It might sound like I'm wavering, but I'm not. I love Nash. But my other favorite PG is Chauncy. It is a treat to watch him run that show.

He's like an artist. Unlike the other two, he litterely tells everyone where to go and what to do.

Actually, they're not the same. Shaq has 4 rings and 3 NBA Finals MVPs.

Yeah, that's a good point. Garnett only had one year with a talented team andthey ended up going to the WC Finals.
Then Sprewell left and Mr. McHale decided to trade Sam Cassell for *drumroll*......Marko Jaric.

There's only one stat that matters when you're talking about how good Tim Duncan is: wins.

Look at the Spurs pre-Tim, look at the Spurs once they got Tim.

They've totally turned over the team and have completely different players and the results are the same. Sure, he's got a better supporting cast than Garnett has ever had, but I don't care. Tim Duncan IS the Spurs. Even Michael Jordan had a pretty damn good team around him.

I'd even say that if I was going to build an NBA team now, Duncan would probably be the first guy I took. Sure, he's boring. Sure, he's the Big Fundamental. But he wins, and that's all I give a shit about. And it may bore everyone to death, but the Spurs are going to win this series because they win games like tonight's. And it may bore everyone to death, but the Spurs and the Pistons are going to meet in the Finals by playing fundamental basketball with guys who don't care who gets the glory (Duncan, Billups, Prince, Rip, Parker, Bowen, etc).

I don't buy that as much with hoop, it's the sport that one player can have the greatest impact on the game. It's not like football where everyone loves that 21 other players on th field argument. I don't know if we're arguing different things, or if you changed it in your last post, because I'm not debating most talented. I'm talking about best. Sure that's more subjective, but pure athletic talent isn't the single most important thing to me when talking about the best player. At some point the level of success you were able to lead your team to does factor in. How many years has it been since Garnett even made the playoffs?

If you want to go best in just this playoffs, it might not even be one of these guys... could very well be Baron Davis and Deron Williams hasn't been too shabby.
