It wasn't so much Kobe had to pass. It was Kwame, Walton, and Odom had to step up.

 

You can't step up when one guy shoots 44 times. That's why playing like that is dumb, IMO

 

What happened in game 2?

 

They missed shots. Like I said, that's the only chance you have to win. Kobe can score 80/game, and it doesn't matter. If you don't pass, you can't win. That's why Phil keeps trying to get that through to Kobe
