Vince Carter decided to show up tonight, and he has 13 at the end of the 1st quarter, as NJ leads TOR by 12, 31-19

My goodness. Kidd had 9 assists - in the first quarter, as well as 6 rebs.

MIA finally takes the lead over CHI. They are on a 12-2 run in the second quarter, with about 7 minutes to go

Nets win. Kidd: 16 pts, 16 rebs, 19 assists. Whew!

Tell me when Nash gets those kind of numbers.

P.S. 16 rebounds!?!?!? Dirk has trouble getting 10.

    He doesn't get them.

If Kidd could shoot, it's amazing how good he would be. He's such a unique player.

Perhaps I gave the Heat too much credit.

Watching the Heat-Bulls series only confirms that Buss/Kupchak and the Lakers did ONE smart thing and that was deciding Shaquille O'Neal was nearing his last legs.
Sure, Shaq came away with an extra ring, but his performance in last year's playoffs was uneven at best and, in the Finals, he was absolutely horrid. He was carried to a title by Dwyane Wade, who he allowed to grab the spotlight for one big reason: Shaq wanted to show the media he was willing share the spotlight.
But, if you believe he was willing to ever SHARE (not even give, but SHARE) the spotlight with Bryant, then I have a bridge to sell you.

This season, with D-Wade gimpy, Shaq can't even get his team out of the first round against a team that didn't even win 50 games this season (the Bulls were 49-33). MDE?? No. Not any more. Shaq may have fooled the media with his funny demeanor and ability to make every journalist feel like they were his buddy (who doesn't wanna be Shaq's buddy?), but it's pretty obvious now that if he had stayed with the Lakers, it would've been an utter disaster. After all, the Lakers are playing probably the second best team in the NBA (Phoenix) and won't suffer the indignity of being swept.

Bye Shaq. Don't let the broom hit you in the ass on your way out to shine D-Wade's ring. ;)
