P.S. Voting was done by the coaches and they were not allowed to vote for their own players.

I watched five minutes, early on, of the Suns/Lakers yesterday. I saw Nash dishing and driving, and Kobe shooting. Then I got bored and headed for work early. And I'm a BASEBALL fan, for Pete's sake! I didn't see any MVP anywhere.

No offense meant, Chuck. The game passed me by about the time Earl the Pearl retired, and the beloved Pearl, with his cuffing and spinning, was the originator of a lot of this crap.

I will say that watching Shawn Marion soar was fun until I realized that no one was attempting to challenge him.

Yeah, the best defense played in regards to that Suns-Lakers game was Phil Jackson calling a timeout as Kobe was driving toward the basket. :)

JackyJack, love the avatar. Is that "Giant" Baba vs. Mitsuharu Misawa?

That is the Giant Baba indeed, although I don't know who the opponent is. A story goes with it.

Kobe named 1st-team all defense? You have to be joking.

Charles Barkley just said on the half-time show -- and I concur -- that Tim Duncan is getting mugged and can't get a call. This is why the NBA has what I believe is a very large credibility problem -- the ref's seem to be vindicative and sometimes seem to want to try and create their own drama.

Duncan can't catch a break, no matter what he does and Denver is winning.
