LA lives and dies with Kobe. I'd rather have him taking those shots than Shammond Williams.

P.S. Lamar Odom did it big tonight. Turiaf had a good rebounding night as well. Luke didn't help though(2 points).

EDIT: He brought them to a 5 point lead with those shots. When you're the franchise, you take the shots. Period.

Kobe is nada, nothing. He's a fraud. The Lakers were within 6 to start the 4th quarter, and Kobe shot them out of it. Period.

Just like PJax has said, Kobe wants to try to be the hero at the end, instead of staying disciplined and running the offense. That's why he's going home after the first round (or less), 3 years straight.

When he did that last year, you called him a quitter.

    What did I miss?

Is RokSki on his second load yet?

Keep that fist pumping, dude. Because anyone who calls Bryant a "fraud" is just not thinking straight.

You might be able to win the NCAA Tournament with one great player (Danny Manning, Melo, etc.) and role players. You can't do that in the NBA, though. Kobe needs some help, and I'm not talking from the draft, unless we're talking Oden or Durant.

    Absolutely correct.

I won't bother re-posting why I think it's not going to happen again for Kobe, but the fact is that NBA rules do not facilitate quick rebuilding. Has nothing to do with KObe . . . though I did say in summer 2004 that he should have turned down the max contract, and signed for half that, for two reasons:

    1. Obviously, to save some cap room, dammit.

    2. To show up that jerk Shaq for being run out of town mostly because he was demanding to be paid 30 million bucks a year in what are now clearly his decline. (he was grandfathered in, the max didn't count for him).

Would you have made the reputed Bynum-for-Kidd trade with the Nets?

You're a fraud, my man. I don't even need to make the argument, either. All anyone has to do is compile all your posts on this thread and it's clear as day.
You're a cool dude, for the most part, but your hatred of Bryant (and please, don't say you don't hate him so you can sound like the bigger person when, anyone who spends as much time as you do badmouthing someone in particular is either loaded with hate or just plain jealous toward that person) really clouds your credibility.

No, Kidd is nearing the downside of his career, makes too much money and needs the ball in his hands to be effective, which is pointless with Bryant on the team.
Same applied to Jordan, which is why the Bulls always had jump shooters/scorers as point guards.

  10. The Suns beat the Lakers because they are a far better team. No other reason. But as usual, Rok blames Kobe. As Gimpy said, your obsession with Kobe is beyond tiresome.

No way. Bynum's potential remains impressive. Kidd's has long since been met.

If you have a big man with potential, you hold onto him.

And. . . let' be honest. Kidd passing to these bums wouldn't have made them better shooters.

I disagree. I trade Bynum ASAP before the rest of the league realizes he lacks the fire to ever be a top-tier player. I just wouldn't trade him for aging stars, like Kidd.
