Yeah, Gee, that is what is so ridiculous about the "Lebron won't ever win one crowd" -- all of the same shit they are saying about him, they said about Dirk after they lost a few years ago - and Lebron's team is better and in better position for the foreseeable future than Dirk's Mavericks teams.

And while yes, this, as every loss, is mostly on the players - the Heat need a new coach as this kid they have was so far out of his league and that was evident as the series wore on and Rick Carlisle coached circles around him

(thankfully) haven't heard those initials in quite some time. Haven't seen the old boy in these parts in quite some time.

That was the sense I got, that he wanted to be alone with his thoughts and/or collect himself.

But, it's such an odd response, I can't remember something similar. Most players want to celebrate with and embrace their coaches.

The only similar reactions I can come up with were by coaches and not players. Herb Brooks famously let his players celebrate while remaining relatively calm on the bench in 1980.

In 1997, I remember BC coach Jim O'Brien ducking into the hallway after winning the Big East Tournament to compose himself.

There are probably other examples, but I can't think of any regarding a player in a team sport like this.

Maybe he was mocking Wade for his 'injury' only to come back later?

Yeah, you stole my comment a bit. I was going to say LeBron has become the new Dirk now that Dirk ain't Dirk anymore.

Because those six shots will all come in the fourth quarter and you have a chance to be the guy who hits the NBA Finals winning shot?

I usually don't find anything too insightful in the coach"s interview between the 3rd and 4th quarters but I thought Spoelstra was probably almost too honest when he said something along the lines that the team had to be mentally tough in the 4th.

I was suprised to hear a coach say something like that, especially given the shirkers he has on his team.

I had a problem with the questions raised at the post-game presser. Many of those asking questions sounded -disrespect intended - like fans instead of journalists.
