The right call. Oh, it doesn't involve the Lakers.

Here we go. Spurs have 1.7 seconds to get a 3.

NBATV guys killing Battier. And for good reason.

If Memphis blows this, you wonder if they'll be mentally strong enough to finish off San Antonio in Game 6.

    What a game in SA.

Thing is, did Memphis really blow this? It's not like they missed free throws at the end of regulation or turned the ball over down the stretch or played bad defense on the last two possessions. Ginobili and Gary Neal just made two hellacious plays.

But you're right that this will be a test of the Grizzlies' resolve. Not to mention their head coach.

Memphis did everything you're supposed to when you're leading: make free throws, and don't foul.

Fantastic job by TNT. No need to see the early third quarter of Thunder-Thuggets. Good job showing a game most everyone can't get on N(o)BA TV.

Ginobili yes, but you *can't* let Neal get that open in that spot. NBATV guys showed the replay and Battier followed Duncan into the lane instead of staying high to help defend against a 3.

They didn't choke or anything, but when you've got a chance to knock a team out -- particularly a No. 1 seed -- you can't be wasting too many opportunities.

    Dick Stockton.

    sumamabitch.

I still can't listen to him without thinking of the old Sixers v. Celtics games at noon on Sundays on CBS.
