Back out to a 15-point lead for Memphis

That's a nice win by the Hawks.

Oh, and Rose turns his ankle with 5 seconds left.

    Atlanta-Memphis Finals, anyone?

Sooo dumb. Why are the starters out there down 10 with a minute left. Take out the MVP!!! And Thibodeau won Coach of the Year? Blah.

I doubt the Hawks have another circus-shot shooting performance like that in them, but it'd be hilarious if they did.

Not Kobe's finest sequence. Huge win for Dallas.

Hell of a game by Kobe before that. Usually, it's "maybe he has a good game, maybe not, but he ALWAYS closes."

Like Kenny Smith pointed out post-game, Phil Jackson screwed up a substitution, checking Odom out and getting Gasol stuck on Dirk at the end when he made the dumb foul. I doubt if Odom commits that foul.

I only saw the final minute or so. Was surprised on third-to-last or fourth-to-last possession when Kobe turned it over on the kick-out instead of challenging Chandler point-blank.

He always closes? Reality is different.

This game the Lakers have been playing for years where they continuously slack off and get upset at the beginning of each of their series, but then turn it on and take over when it counts, that has to finally catch up to them someday ....right ....I mean they can't just keep getting away with this act forever ....right?

I hope this is the series where it finally gets em. The prospect of a Memphis/Dallas conference finals just strikes me as deliciously unexpected. The NCAA tourney gets bracket busters nearly every year, the NFL regularly gets wild card/cindarella Super Bowl participants, as does the World Series. But the NBA almost NEVER gets anything like that in its post-season. And it could use it.

When you generally pull "against" the powerhouses, which is my habit (I generally like to pull for the "field" against the established powers) it sure does seem like it. I've seen many a game over the years were Kobe puts the dagger in the heart, especially in more recent seasons.
