    I really wish LA had stuck with the effective "Let Jason Kidd shoot, even if he's wide open" strategy. Instead, they decided to gag this one away. (Though the 2003 version of Peja played a part.) Depressing.

    They choked away two games so far.

    I disagree with ESPN L.A. guy saying "Kobe's playing with his legacy!!!!" really? Yes, we all remember Magic losing in the second round in 1990 with the best record. Oh, wait. No we don't.

    Tomorrow, I'll be satisfied with what this group has accomplished.

    But this has been tough to watch. Getting beat is one thing. Playing the fourth quarter the way they have in all three games, it's the same personnel but far from the same group that just won two titles.

    Completely agree. Terrible at finishing quarters, especially the fourth quarters in Games 1 and 3. They got what they deserved. Their defense went into the shitter -- again. Gasoft a nonfactor -- again. Criminy, they couldn't even win with Phil out of the chair and in the face of Gasoft and Odom. It's a bad way to go out as a two-time champion. Guessing Cancun and Cabo will be on their minds Sunday. Day game. And easier access from Dallas.
