    You're right.

    Then again, neither has anybody (or likely will anybody) who ever laced a pair of sneakers.

    Many of us were inspired by and aspired to be Woodward and Bernstein. So rip us because we failed.

    I think you make a fair point, and I made a similar one on a Tiger Woods thread. People are acting like Tiger would be a failure if he doesn't break Jack Nicholson's record, even though he has 14 major victories, which is incredible.

    Take it as a back-handed compliment for LeBron, though. Once you get into that stratosphere of players, the comparisons are inevitable. I'm probably severely oversimplifying by focusing on his mental toughness/lack of killer instinct. DD talked a little about some of the flaws in his actual game, in comparison to Jordan, above. But I think the lack of killer instinct is at least part of it.
