Have the Clippers ever learned a lesson about anything?

I look forward to "Derrick Williams: The Decision" in seven years.

  3. that sentiment is nice, except for the fact that the Cavs would be fools to take anyone other than Kyrie Irving

Am I just being biased as an OKC fan thinking Dirk should have gotten an flagrant on that play with KD?

Oklahoma City better figure out how to defend the Mavs or this is a four-game series.

  6. Dirk just scored 48 points on 15 shots...and no three's.....think about that

Yes, that's nice, but he did hit 24 free throws.

Teams OKC just can't seem to win against: Memphis (though that curse may now be broken), San Antonio and Dallas.

Kidd was good tonight. The ball movement was outstanding and a lot of that was kick-outs to Kidd by a double-teamed Dirk and Kidd being so quick to read the defensive rotation that he would basically redirect Dirk's pass to the open man. It's impressive. Makes any kind of defense on Dallas short of having the personnel to lock down straight-up man-to-man hard to execute because any kind of help defense leaves an opening and Kidd will find what that opening is.

Kidd and Barea are awful tough as a 1-2 point guard combination right now.

On Dirk's foul, I didn't think it was flagrant at first glance, but after Van Gundy made the comment and they showed the replays, I could see their point. Per the exchange earlier in the thread, no way that's flagrant in a vintage Lakers-Celtics series, but these days, it easily could have been called that.

Westbrook kills OKC in some ways. Somebody suggested to me earlier today that OKC should dump him if they feel like they lose in the playoffs because of him. I kind of thought that was too strong but after watching his decision making tonight...yikes. It's such a contrast when you have Kidd on the other side pushing all the right buttons.

Hard to argue with what he says. The two years the Wizards won it were when Michael Jordan had just taken over, and when Ted Leonsis has Abe Pollin's widow there. The Cavaliers win it for the first time when a guy named LBJ, who lived an hour away, becomes draft eligible. And then when LBJ says "South Beach." Hell I said months ago that Cleveland was going to win it. It didn't matter what their "odds" were going to be. The NBA was going to make sure they got it. It happens every year.
