After watching JJ Barea play like a disaster this series, I'm still trying to figure out how the Lakers made him look like a combination of Chris Paul and Isiah Thomas. Well, other than having 87-year-old Derek Fisher guard him.

    Miami 47, Dallas 42, halftime.

    Wade went crazy, with 19.

In a span of less than 30 seconds at the end of the half, two instances of why some people hate the NBA. Wade flops to histrionic levels while boxing out Kidd, and gets the call. A joke.

Kidd returns the favor almost immediately, pump-faking Wade out of his jock from the left corner. Wade is airborne and clearly will land on Kidd hard; the fake worked perfectly. But Kidd makes no actual attempt at a shot, and leans to his right to absorb what promises to be a hard blow, and probably travels in the process.

Van Gundy was all over both acting jobs.

Winning the series against OKC probably cost him a lot of money.

Actually, you totally missed the point of Van Gundy's second rant. The foul call would have been perfectly acceptable had Kidd not traveled prior to contact.

    Missed the first half.

Has Crawford had a noticeable impact? Will the conspiracy theorists get all excited about this one?

I didn't miss the point so much as I mis-spoke (mis-posted?). I shouldn't have lumped them together as "acting jobs." They were different crimes, and Van Gundy differentiated between them accordingly. Just poor typing by me, and thanks for clearing that up.

They should be lumped together, however, as plays that alienate people from the NBA. But not me.

Not in the first half. Mavs shot 15 free throws to 9 for Miami. Dallas missed four, though, which hurt them.

Tyson Chandler just had one of the great defensive sequences you're going to see, ending with him diving head first into the basket foundation while blindly saving the ball to a teammate.

It would have been interesting to see what a few years of college would have done for Chandler.

The Dirk show late again. And the Dallas D. Tied up, 57 seconds left.

Seeing hints of Larry Bird vs. Dominique here

It's almost a repeat of Game 2, the way the Heat are self-destructing. Two shot-clock violatons within moments of each other, in a Game 3 of the Finals? And have they lost their concept of passing the ball?
