NBC Sports layoffs

    It's not just the regular sports events that got canceled for NBC, but they're losing out on so much revenue by the Olympics getting moved by one year. They had to cut the cord somewhere so the execs could still afford to fill up their yachts.

    WarnerMedia just announced a major restructuring of its management last week, dumping at least three highly-paid executives (SUITS!) from the Turner/TimeWarner side. Ominous news near the bottom of the email to employees: "We expect further belt-tightening and layoffs."

    The only ones NBC should have kept are Chin, Curran, and Perry. The rest are certifiable dopes. I don't know how Tomase has a job in journalism, Tanguay is an admitted shit-stirrer who isn't good at it, and Trenni is the dimmest of bulbs.

    Looks like even NBC Sports' digital flagship isn't immune; Darin Gantt of Pro Football Talk just tweeted about his departure.
