  1. Pitt wins its second straight with a 31-28 win over Navy. I hate defending against the option! I made the one big stop when I had to and that was the only reason I won this game.

No. 19 ULL 35, Arkansas State 25. It was a closer game than even the score would indicate, as it was 14-14 at the half. Effrem Reed was really struggling to fill-in as the starting RB - six carries for 13 yards - and I finally figured out why. Even though he was now starting, the game still had him on special teams and returning kicks, because my roster depth is so poor.

So, I subbed in the third-string running back, redshirt sophomore Torrey Pierce. While his overall is only a 71 and seven points lower than Reed, he's a little bit quicker and a bit more able to take advantage of the blocking of my line. Pierce finished with 106 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries, including a 47-yard TD run in the fourth quarter that really put the game out of reach. Broadway carried my offense in the first half, despite a pick, and finishing with 228 yards on 13-for-19.

    Minnesota 31, No. 10 Nebraska 3.

Arguably my best game so far. Held Martinez to 128 yards on 11 of 20 passing with two picks. They only had 57 rushing yards, which is a damn good number for my defense.

Donnell Kirkwood had 106 yards and a score on 15 carries, while Philip Nelson was 17 of 25 for 221 yards, two TDs and one pick.

    Yep. We have advanced.

Tulsa has already dispatched UTSA 34-0. Should've been more but I had an off game running the option.

Yeah, that was pretty nice. Never seen that many commit at one time.

  8. Put a hurting on UCLA in a 45-7 beating.

Connor Wood did what he is supposed to in my Air Raid offense, and that's find a bunch of receivers in wide open space and let them do their thing. His stat line (33-39, 331 yards, 5 TD; 11 carries, 58 yards, TD) was ridiculous, especially considering my OL is very meh.

Donta Abron, my RB, did nicely as well, picking up 72 yards on 10 carries and grabbing four catches and a TD pass. His speed makes him a huge threat.

Set a new team record with my WR Nelson Spruce, who had 12 catches on the day. Only had 154 with it but still...I'll take it.

Defense...IDK what happened - it just all clicked. Had four sacks, two forced fumbles, and held them to 129 yards passing on 24 attempts. They ran the ball 15 times for 19 yards, and only really gained traction on slip screens.

Caps off a killer week where I signed almost everyone.

Bump! I finally got around to playing my game - Sorry, Civ5 was dominating my life for a few days.

No. 14 ULL 49, NMSU 14. They only had one win coming into the game, so the blowout wasn't really surprising. It could have been worse - They didn't score until down by 28 points, and because I didn't want Alonzo Harris to re-injure his shoulder (he was only probable for the game), I took my pedal off the gas in the third quarter and went to my second string in the fourth.

Terrance Broadway finished with 262 yards and a touchdown on 14-for-15 passing. His backup, the awesomely named Brooks Haack, had one pass for 28 yards, which Herbstreet felt the need to cajole me about for running up the score. Hey, it was 3-and-7, give me a break! On the ground, Harris finished with 162 yards on 18 carries and five touchdowns. He also caught two balls for 43 yards. Tight end Jacob Maxwell had four catches for 98 yards.

    I'm done.

The game is fucking stupid when it comes to players dropping wide open passes for now fucking reason. I'm fed up with it.
